Flamboro Downs Race Nights Beside the Casino
Flamboro Downs is the harness track beside Elements Casino Flamboro, and this page covers the racing side of the evening. It runs through the track's history, its signature cup and the usual race-night pattern. Dates can change, so the race calendar always gets the last word.

Part 1
How the Track Came to Be
Charles Juravinski founded Flamboro Downs, and the track has run standardbred racing since the 1970s. Standardbreds are the harness breed, racing behind a driver rather than under a jockey.
Ownership has changed hands twice since then. In 2003 the track was bought by Magna Entertainment. Two years on, in 2005, Great Canadian Gaming Corporation came next.
Both the casino floor and the oval are now operated by Great Canadian Entertainment. The casino carries the Elements Casino Flamboro name, while the track keeps the Flamboro Downs name.
